About us
On Tuesday January 19, 2009, Mattison Grey decided to follow her own advice and make a HUGE fitness goal for 2009. So 365 in 365 was born. It’s simple really: do 365 days of exercise in 365 days. Jonathan Mankse heard about it and asked to join in. Bonnie Crowder and Sarah Shah were also early adopters of the 365 Fitness Game. By the time you read this we may have given up or there could 100’s of participants. Who knows. You are welcome to join us. Please read the “rules” and if you agree to them jump on in. We have all committed to exercise 365 times in 365 days. This blog documents our progress, results and observations.

14/365 One hour on the elliptical is no longer a problem, a year ago 12 minutes was difficult.

15/365 hulahooping. can keep it going 10-30 continuous revs. Core is tighter, tummy a little flatter (yeah), dropped 1/2 a shoe size and fit into a sz medium skirt today (and it looked good!).

Still here… missed one day that I have to make up. I feel like I’ve been taking baby steps getting into this routine, but am ready to ramp it up a bit. Am back into walking and using my exercise bike. This is great!!

Okay — am I the first one to fall off the wagon, or just the first to admit it?
Maybe I was never “on the wagon.” I didn’t make it on to the list of participants.
Anyway, I made it 9 days with 3 of those being “double-up” days. Seemed to be the pattern that emerged.
On the plus side, I was exercising, on purpose, ALMOST every day, and thinking of how I could get some exercise in. This is a big leap forward. Not enough of a leap to make me leap up from my computer when I’m juggling many projects and deliverables are due! But a leap, and a significant improvement. I am happy with that.
I will begin again tomorrow, Monday, with a new day 1.

Got bored with the hoop once I figured out how to do it and could do more than 50 revs. It got fun again when I discovered hooping faster reverses effects of gravity. Now success measured in mins instead of revs – 4 continuous mins so far. Today I took a step and kept the hoop going. woohoo! Also got fit with Sharon Mann on Fit TV. Got pinkie kisses with each pushup. Laughing distracted me enough to keep going 20, 21, 22, 23/365

MaryBeth, you are now on the participants list. Good luck with a new start!

Upped the intensity today. Feels good. Nice weather for an afternoon walk. Heavy hands now up to 4 pound weights.

This is working. It will continue to work if I don’t make it a chore. I’m doing about 20 minutes a day. That’s 20 minutes a day more than I was doing before. Gotta make a difference and it’s doable.

Marybeth
I am sure you are not the first one to fall off the wagon, but you may be the first one to stick with it and start over.
It looks like from the reduced activity on the blog and one twitter people may be falling off or at a minimum losing their enthusiasm. Thanks for setting a great example and starting over.
